This self-catering villa is located on the edge of the quiet Greek seaside village of Amaliapolis about 7 mins walk from a sandy beach and the village centre. The village is much appreciated by Greek holiday makers but is off the beaten tourist track. The first floor of the villa is fully airconditioned and has a large living/dining room with well equipped kitchen, two twin bedrooms, bathroom and separate WC. On the second floor of the villa are two further suites each having an airconditioned twin bedroom, living room with sofa-bed for 2 and a kitchenette and a bathroom. Several balconies help to make the most of the wonderful sun with views of the sea in the distance and the olive clad hillsides or you can use the large, shady, enclosed garden where you will find seating and 2 barbecues. The villa is suitable for family groups or friends. In the village you will find cafes, bars, restaurants, and local shops like a small supermarket, a bakery and a greengrocer. This furnished villa is offered for rent by a private owner and no additional services such as cleaning during your stay are provided.

Amaliapolis itself is situated on a large bay in the Pagasitic Gulf on the east coast of mainland Greece, 53km south of the lively university city of Volos from where Jason and the Argonauts set sail. It is roughly midway between Athens and Thessaloniki and so well situated for exploring mainland Greece, including the monasteries of Meteora, classical Delphi and other archaeological sites in Magnesia and beyond. As well as the village beach there are several other nice sandy beaches within easy driving distance and many archaeological sites. You can also take a boat trip from nearby Achillion to the island of Skiathos famed for its sandy beaches. The area is well worth exploring with a mixture of seaside villages and pretty mountain villages. You can also visit the Pelion peninsula which makes a good day trip with with skiing in winter and beautiful beaches, mountain villages and spectacular scenery all year round.
Location AccessVilla Amaliapolis
