Marazul Dive ResortAdvert 42551Westpunt - Curacao - Netherlands AntillesThe units at Marazul are owned individually, so every unit is not the same as to what they have in it. We try to provide everything you may need to make your stay an enjoyable one: I have just put 2 new AC units in my town home, along with a new sliding door and front door with blinds so you would have privacy, as well as new windows on the lower level. The TV is brand new as of January. It is important to keep everything fresh and new for our guests. The town home is fully equipped with lots of extras: flat-screen TV with cable service, DVD player, ihome dock, in-house telephone with wireless Internet. My unit has the router for several of the other units in my area. There is a large-size refrigerator, new appliances, coffee machine, as well as hot water in both showers and in the kitchen. We have full screens on the windows and all doors. This is something you would appreciate at our resort. There is custom-built wood furniture along with a futon for comfortable seating and fold-out sleeping and a nice king-size bed with memory-foam mattress topper for a nice sleep. The sunsets from the balcony are gorgeous.
Be sure to drive up to Shete Boka – a protected national park on the ‘wild’, windswept NW corner. Just a few minutes (7 or so) away on the road back to Barber, it has spectacular surf crashing into miles of pristine, rocky coast and is a great place to hike, run, bike [rent mountain bikes from David and Sunshine – the proprietors of Sol Food] or just hang out and read/picnic. There is a small entrance fee. Take a lunch and drinks with you, and be sure to see ‘Pistol’ while there. Christoffel National Park is also very close and has great hiking and entirely different type of scenery. Go early to avoid the heat. For variety, try the beaches at Klein Knip [esp. ‘little Knip’], Kalki, Lagun, and Jeremy– all within a few minutes and all with good snorkeling and diving. Lagun is very nice when not crowded (more likely on weekends and on local holidays). Discover Diving is on the left as you turn into the Lagun beach area. This is one place to get tanks, info, etc. The reef at Lagun is a bit longer swim out, and has suffered a bit from the ‘bleaching’ associated with extremely warm water temps in the fall of 2010, but the rocks along the cliff surrounding the lagoon has interesting snorkeling/sea life. Around noon the local fishermen feed the turtles who come in for a free lunch close to the beach. There are many other beaches and dive sites within 20 minutes.
Located on the west end of the island with the beautiful and picturesque scenery. It is not far from the airport which makes this a perfect getaway!
